I Made CyanogenMod 12 Theme Template For People Who Want To Develop Their Own Theme(For All People From Noobs To Professionals)
So You Can Use It As A Base :p


Requirements :
Android SDK
Java JDK
Note Pad++
Photoshop
Eclipse Or Android Studio


Steps :

* Download This ZIP File

* Extract The ZIP File

* Open Eclipse (Or Studio) (I Will Use Eclipse)

* File > new > project > Android Project From Existing Code

* Chose The Folder That You Extract From The ZIP File

* First Change The Package Form Android Manifest.xml And Change The Theme Name And Author Name

* Change Theme Icon

* Open Assets Folder

And Start Themeing

If you don't know how
You Will Find 10 Folders In Assets Dictionary

1 - alarms : Here You Can Add An Alarm tone for your Theme

2 - bootanimation : here you can add bootanimation.zip

3 - fonts : add your theme font here

4 - icons : add your theme icon pack like (assets\icons\res\drawable-xxhdpi\browser.png) This Will Change The Browser Icon

5 - Images : add A screen shots from your theme

6 - lockscreen : add your theme lockscreen wallpaper

7 - notification : add your theme notification tone like (assets\notification\notification.ogg)

8 - ringtones : Simply add your theme ring tone

9 - wallpapres : here you can add your theme wallpaper like (assets\wallpapers\wallpaper1.jpg)

10 - overlays : Here you can theme the apps or change the colours Example :
If you want to change an Image You have to add (assets\overlays\app_package\res\drawable-xxhdpi\Image_name.png)
Like (assets\overlays\com.android.launcher3\res\drawabl e-xxhdpi\ic_allapps.png)
And If You Want To Change A Color In An App
Just Modify (Assets\overlays\app_package\res\values\colors.xml )
(assets\overlays\com.android.systemui\res\values\c olors.xml)


* Finally Click On The Project > Export > Export Android Application > .......

Good evening everyone.This is my first attempt to make a theme for CM12.
For all those 25+ years old guys out there who want to feel a little bit nostalgic,i present to you my theme

As its name says,its a windows98 based theme,with red flavor.

Current version: 0.1

Including on current version:

• Red Settings with "bubble" effect
• Red notification bar and quick settings menu
• Some basic icons
• Trebuchet's background is red ,and "open app drawer button" is the classic start menu of windows
• Bootanimation edited
• lockscreen edited

IT IS CONSIDERED TO BE STABLE.NO COLOR MIXING OR SOMETHING

Things to be added on next version:

• Add more classic icons
• Maximize the size of some icons (We can talk about it )
• Keyboard skin has to take red flavor too
• Animated bootloader
• I will try to make a start menu bar as original windows

I will try to update it every 2-3 days,so stay tuned :)
i am willing to change everything you want :)

Noone is allowed to change something in the theme.

This thread is here for all of us, so post screens if you want, ideas if you want, and anything that is related to this Theme.. I welcome feedback, as long as its good.. lol.. These themes work on many different roms and devices, so If you find an issue post it and I will try my best to fix it, but i will need some details about the rom and specific apk... I am very Thankful to Cyanogenmod for their CM Theme engine. It allows us to make these themes, but as of right now we can only theme so much with the current theme engine.. So my settings, Phone and contacts will be a Solid color.. As soon as its poss for us to make them transparent I will be all over it... Thank you

This might be silly; but I'm looking for a wallpaper I used to have on my smartphone; not sure where it came from; either it was from MCS or it was a icon pack I had (which I don't remember it's name); hope anyone can help out (especially if its from a icon pack wallpaper). This article is (Part 2) second part of video boot animation tutorial on devices supporting mp4 exclusively on Android without use of PC/Windows.

If 1st boot animation mp4 is lengthy enough the next video need not load. The 2nd video is usually a loop for background apps to load during boot, meaning it gets replayed indefinitely until all apps load.

Requirements:
1. RAR app by GmbH (winrar creator) for Android
2. 2 small sized mp4 videos within supported resolution of your device.
3 Rooted phone.
4. ES file explorer app.

Steps:
1. Using ES file explorer Copy existing /system/media/bootanimation.zip to /sdcard/downloads (any backup directory)
2. Using RAR app delete existing mp4 from /system/media/bootanimation.zip
3. Add your 01_<AnyFileName>.mp4 and
02_<AnyFileName>.mp4 by going to Advanced tab setting Compression level as STORE.
4. Using ES file explorer rename permissions of bootanimation.zip to -rw-r--r--
5. Reboot enjoy video with sound.
6. Hit Thanks.

Works for me in Moto G 4.4.4. Let me know your devices compatibility. Will add working bootanimation to this thread soon.

Presenting v2 for my s5 style ui with more s5 icons and improvements






New features:

Requirements:

How to install:
1. Copy/cut "s5 style ui v2 s7392.zip" to external sd card
2. Go to system/app and delete SystemUI.odex
3. Now go to recovery mode (cwm must be installed)
4. Select install zip from sd card, choose zip from sd card and select "s5 style ui v2 s7392.zip" and flash it
5. Reboot and enjoy

Hey, themers!

I've been having an odd problem recently with my ADW. Before I state my question, here are my device/version details:

ADW.Launcher version: 1.3.3.9
Device: Rooted Nook Simple Touch with GlowLight
Android version: 2.1 Eclair

Now, with that out of the way, here's my issue. I like changing my homescreen frequently; using new icons, new wallpaper, new widgets, etc. I've recently been enjoying vanessaem's LipseUI and Lucent Remix icons, as well as King Rollo's 7null icons. Thing is, I've been having to use Deskto VisualizeR (DVR) to get the icons to display correctly, mainly because 1) Android 2.1 doesn't support 97% of icon pack apps, so I have to buy them on one device, install them, copy the .apk out of /data/app, and decompile the .apk so I can use the icon .pngs on my Nook, and 2) When I do [Menu > Add > Custom shortcut > [tap on icon area] > Select and crop picture] in ADW, the transparency in the image I choose, whatever file extension it is, always displays as plain black (which, of course, ruins circular and King Rollo-style icons).

So, my question is: how can I force ADW to display the correct transparency in icons, and not display it as black?

P.S. One thing I've tried is taking one of david1171's Minimalist icon packs (his Minimalist and Minimalist_Black packs are the only icon pack .apks I've ever been able to actually install on my Nook), decompiling it, taking out all of the actual icon pack icons, pasting in all of, for example, the LipseUI icons, recompiling, and attempting to reinstall the .apk, but I always have gotten a parse error, most likely because I don't know how to resign the .apk after recompiling it. Can anyone help me with this option?

P.P.S. Also, please don't recommend I update my Android version - fact is, on my device, 2.1 is the highest Android version to which any devs have ever gotten it.
