[Q] How come do i get my homebrewed animated wallpaper working?

I used the wallpaper creator 2.6 that seems to be generally used for android to convert a batch of pngs into an .apk that can be installed to android.

I used 1080x1920 .png images, and generated the test1-signed.apk

I copied the .apk to /sdcard/ and ran it to install

when I go into settings -> display -> live wallpapers, my custom wallpaper shows up, but when I select it it just hangs for a second reads "Loading Live Wallpaper..." then error message pops up "Unfortunately, test1 has stopped"
