[Theme][Skin] Handcent ICS/JB Skin

This is a very quick and dirty mod for the Handcent SMS app. I didnt like the default skins because they look out dated and doesn't match the new ICS/JB interface. So made my own, here you go:



How to install:

• I modified an existing skin called "Summertime" so fist you need to download it. In Handcent settings > Custom Style > Skin > Summertime
• Once you install the summertime skin switch to some other skin
• Copy the com.handcent.nextsms.skin.summer-1.apk (attached here) to your /data/app folder
• Once copied go back to Handcent settings and choose the Summertime skin.
• I have also uploaded a theme to the Handcent theme market named "ICS Theme OptiplexFx" for the bubble, background, font, and conversation list color settings, but I'm not sure if Handcent has approved it yet. If they haven't then you can manually apply the following settings
  • Settings > Custom style > Bubble Settings
    • Conversation style : Handcent classic
    • Background: R 255, G 255, B 255
    • Incoming background start color: R 204, G 229, B 175, Transparency 255
    • Incoming background end color: R 204, G 229, B 175, Transparency 255
    • Outgoing background start color: R 226, G 226, B 226, Transparency 255
    • Outgoing background end color: R 226, G 226, B 226, Transparency 255
  • Settings > Custom style > Conversation list settings
    • Conversation style : Handcent classic
    • Background: R 255, G 255, B 255
    • Contact font color: R 0, G 0, B 0, Transparency 255

NOTE: Since this was a quick mod I did not modify other icons or backgrounds, if you are using message popup feature then the popup background will have summer skin, couldn't bother editing the 9-patch png files. I might decide to do it later, but not right away. I dont have access to a proper 9 patch editor (I tried gimp but didnt work).
